This is the first week of Black History Month - a time when Addepar is proud to honor and reflect on the diverse achievements of African-Americans throughout our nation’s history.
This year, we’ll be spotlighting events, figures, and movements in Black History and how those achievements and efforts have paved the way for a new generation of history-makers. In addition, we will officially launch a speaker series sponsored by BOLD (“Black Organization for Leadership & Development”), one of our employee-led affinity groups. We look forward to welcoming guest speaker, Cheryl Overton, to discuss “Five DEI Commandments to Help Navigate ‘Uncomfortable’ Conversations.”
Although February is designated as the official celebratory month for Black history, every day is an occasion to highlight the vast contributions of African-Americans to culture and society, both past and present. During this month and beyond, we hope to inform, educate, and continue to create an inclusive environment where we invite and encourage diverse perspectives, ideas and people.
We hope that you will also take this time to celebrate the rich heritage of the African American community and its impact on the United States and beyond.
